I don’t know if anything has brought me more joy recently than the discovery of the show Portlandia.
Especially the episodes that feature Women and Women First Bookstore owned by Toni and Candace.
They provide some spectacular dialog, like:
Toni: Instead of buying that you could take a class instead.
Candace: (gasps) Wouldn’t you like that? There’s the Tucker Max Protest Organizing…
Buscemi: I really just want to buy the thing and uh…
Toni: If you’re not outraged, you’re not paying attention.
Buscemi: You know what? I am outraged right now.
Candace: Have you gone to that vegan bakery?
Pure comedy.
This one’s really good, too.
