Charlottetown’s Jeff Bursey Added to Real Vancouver Writers’ Take 6 at W2 Woodwards, Monday May 30th.

The Real Vancouver Reading Series is happy to add Jeff Bursey – all the way from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island – to the roster of the upcoming RVWS Take 6 event on Monday May 30th at W2 Woodwards.

Jeff will be reading from his book Verbatim A Novel, published in September 2010 by Ensfield and Wizenty. You can find out more about Jeff in this interview with Arts East.

Jeff joins Jessica Westhead as the first out-of-towners to participate in the series. Jessica, whose new book ‘And Also Sharks’ has been described as “unexpected, sensational and unforgettable” by Andrew Kaufman, hails from Toronto.

The rest of the Real Vancouver Writers’ roster features more amazing writers like 2011 BC Book Prize Award winning Gurjinder Basran, Re-Lit Award winning misanthrope, Peter Darbyshire – who may be reading from a zombie manuscript in the making -, motorcycle-riding sleuth-writing Robin Spano, raconteur and bon-vivant Fraser Nixon, and the emergent talents of Raoul Fernandes and Elissa Vann Struth.

In other words, this is going to be a kick-ass event featuring some really great writers. Made even more special because we’re including writers from across the country. I’m very excited to have some representation from our friends on the East coast and Toronto.

So come on down and support the writers. It’s $5 at the door and there will be books for sale. And beer for sale. And lots of great people, music and good times.

See you there! Holler at sean [at] booksontheradio [dot] ca with any questions.
